Here at USMMA SoCal Parents Association, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the experience at USMMA for our SoCal Midshipmen a little brighter. We rely on Association Dues and donations for the events we sponsor and our grateful for any gift of time, talent, and treasure.
USMMA Southern California parents and families providing love and encouragement to our dear sons and daughters who have chosen a unique journey of service and dedication. We understand the difficulties they face in mastering their academic and regimental obligations.
USMMA SO-CAL PARENTS ASSOCIATION EVENTS
Cali Care Packages Packing Parties
The USMMA SoCal Parents Association, sends care packages and words of encouragement to over 80 Southern California Midshipmen several times a year. These Cali Care Packages coincide with finals week.
Kings Point Cookie Cafe
Cookie Cafe is a bright spot for USMMA busy Midshipmen who are encouraged by home made cookies and treats from family and friends. Midshipman gather at Lands Hall at the Academy to mingle with caring parents and staff for some snacks and a well needed rest.
What is Cookie Cafe?
Cookie Cafe at Kings Point is a 501(c)(3) organization that is 100% supported and run by KP parents, family and friends. Each event brings together Midshipmen, parents, alumni and even the faculty and administration of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy to create a friendly, relaxing environment at the school's recreation house on Thursday afternoons, starting in September.
